What to Expect During Construction

We will discuss the installation process and the anticipated project schedule with you prior to construction.

Your project may be delayed prior to or during construction due to inclement weather. If there is precipitation during construction, we take extra precautions to ensure that your home is not exposed to the elements.

We will need access to your driveway for materials delivery and to load debris during construction. Please move vehicles you need to use out of your garage. Please also ensure that there are no vehicles in your driveway the day of construction.

Materials required for your project will be delivered prior to construction. Materials may be stocked on your roof or on the ground, depending on circumstances. We will review the material order prior to construction for completeness and accuracy.

If you have a satellite dish, it will have to be detached during roof replacement. We will re-attach it using the original holes. Please note there is a possibility that you will lose reception, and that you will have to contact your satellite provider.

A building permit will be obtained from your local building department and applicable building codes will be reviewed prior to construction. We will be present to ensure that proper code guidelines and safety standards are followed.

Please move all loose items from shelving and walls such as pictures, mirrors, plates, figurines, etc. Nailing will create vibration that may shake these items free.

We will tarp items around the perimeter of your home where roofing debris might fall. Please cover or move other items away from the perimeter, such as your grill, patio furniture, potted plants, pool, etc.

We try to take every precaution to protect your shrubs, plants, and trees. However, please understand that due to the layout of the landscape, some plants may be damaged by falling debris.

Occasionally power tools are needed for nailing, to replace decking or install vents, etc. Use of an outside power outlet is appreciated.

Be prepared for the noise associated with construction. There will be constant hammering for the duration of the project. You may want to plan some time away from home while construction is in progress.

Please keep children and pets away from the work area.

Nails that fall from the roof during the job will be picked up with a magnetic nail roller. We will make every effort to pick up all nails. Please be advised that a few hidden nails in the grass/shrubbery may remain.

We will walk the premises with you when the project is complete. We will address any questions or concerns you have immediately.
